SIX OF THE BEST - HQ WIN CSSC (LONDON REGION) CRICKET SIXES
The HASS(HQ)RA Cricket Club continued its run of success when, for the first time in the Club's history, the HQ team won the annual CSSC (London Region) Cricket 6-a-side tournament. This year's contest was held at Chiswick on a very hot July 17.
On their way to the final, the HQ side won all three of their group games, seeing off National Savings B, the Prison Enterprise Service and a side from the Treasury. In the semi-final HQ did very well to beat MOD Military Survey and in the finaland at t contested between the London HASSRA Associations. This year's contest was hosted by HQ and took place at Chiswick on 9 August. London North won the competition by beating both the HQ and London South sides. HQ won their match against London South and finished runners-up.
HQ were represented by Matt Briggs (DSS), Nick Clark (DH), Phil Connell (NHS), Paul Lees (DH), Calbert McLean (DH), John Newton (DH), Nick Reeve (DSS) Clive Thompson (DSS) and umpire Mike Lever (DH).
