ALUN HUGHES, ALIAS 'THE COMMA', RETIRES FROM THE STROLLERS

Here is his resignation letter:-

"It is with regret that I must resign my membership of Strollers Cricket Club. (Can I get a refund?).
Other demands on my time, coupled with a realisation that I was not enjoying the game as much as I used to, has forced my hand.

I would like to place on record that I have greatly enjoyed the past four (five?) seasons. My batting and especially my bowling has been outstanding. Memories remain that will stay with me till the end of my days. I look forward to sitting in front of the fire, perhaps a grandchild on each knee, reminiscing about the games, tours and individuals that whiled away the summer days of my youth.

Thank you very much. It's been a gas."
