Derek Perry (7 June 1935 to 19 July 2005)




Strollers players past and present were saddened to hear the news of the death of Derek Perry, who had been involved with this club over many years.

Paul Lupton, John Reidy, Peter Edwards, Phil Connell, John McGirr and Janet Davies went to Derek's Memorial at The Holy Trinity, Aldershot on Monday 22nd August for what was a 'full house'. John Reidy organised a spray of flowers on behalf of the Club. The Memorial was marked by some excellent recollections from his daughter Yvonne, friend Katrina Hitch and son Stuart. The same themes cropped up - namely Brentford FC and Derek's lateness for everything.
